As a

(Senior) Product Designer - Design Systems

, your mission is to mature and scale DKB's design system into a flexible, multi-brand foundation that empowers our product teams to design consistently and efficiently. You will play a key role in evolving our components, design tokens, documentation, and tooling to ensure our design system becomes a driver for brand expression, accessibility, and design quality across DKB Group.

Design System Evolution

Drive the continuous improvement of components, patterns, and documentation to ensure they meet high standards for usability, accessibility, and scalability. Define and extend

design tokens

to enable a fully

multi-brand design system

within the next 18 months. Collaborate closely with engineers and product designers to ensure consistent implementation and seamless handover between design and development. Proactively identify design gaps or improvement opportunities across products and translate them into actionable system updates.

Tooling, Workflows & Governance

Shape how our teams use and maintain the design system by improving processes, documentation, and governance structures. Partner with other designers and engineers to explore opportunities for automation or workflow improvements (e.g. through Figma plugins or AI-assisted tooling). Advocate for and drive adoption of the design system across all product teams.

Design Culture & Mentorship

Act as a sparring partner and mentor for other designers, helping them to design within system constraints while still fostering creativity. Lead onboarding and training sessions to help new designers and engineers use the system effectively. Support product redesigns and feature updates by sharing best practices in layout, patterns, and accessibility.

{ following_qualifications_would_be_in_line_with_our_desired_profile_for_this_position: [

Deep experience working with

Design Systems

and

accessibility standards (WCAG)

. Strong proficiency in

Figma

and a solid understanding of

responsive design

principles. Professional experience in

web and app design

, with familiarity with platform guidelines (Apple HIG, Google Material, Microsoft Fluent). Excellent communication skills in

English

(written and spoken);

German

is a plus. You are comfortable working in

cross-functional teams

and agile environments. (Nice to have) Basic knowledge of

frontend technologies

or interest in learning how design connects to code. You're passionate about your work, but also know how to enjoy your free time!*
