We are seeking exceptional talent to support our Gigafactory Berlin vehicle delivery journey and achieve a new just-in-time vehicle end-of-line distribution model. Executing processes while optimizing internal tools and systems is a key competitive advantage for Tesla and essential to efficiently planning vehicle deliveries. Our team is looking for a Senior Outbound Yard Operations Planner who will tackle a wide range of tasks in Outbound Logistics, with a primary focus on system optimization and planning. In this role, you will work with various internal tools, make business-impacting decisions by analyzing relevant demand, supply, KPIs, and logistics data, and communicate daily with stakeholders. You will serve as the key liaison within the Gigafactory, representing the Outbound Logistics team to the EMEA Dispatching Team, Production Scheduling, and Demand Planning.


The ideal candidate will identify process improvements, coordinate the right actions, and ensure smooth business operations. You will track the correct KPIs, set realistic targets across Outbound Logistics sub-departments, and work with your own data analysis tools to create forecasts and present insights as needed.

What You'll Do

Optimizing & forecasting delivery routing locations/compounds Planning, optimizing and managing shunting from the factory to compounds & inventory storages Planning, monitoring and taking corrective actions regards yard space, utilization and overload Communicate with Demand Planning, Dispatchers & Production Scheduling for trucking plan & potential disruptions Create, own, lead & continuously lead projects for Logistics optimization Conduct data analysis and report deviations related to internal tools and systems Communicate with suppliers for KPI management, PO creation and invoice approval Creating & setting up targets for KPIs within Outbound Logistics Analyze and understand various types of forecasts to support long-term decision-making Daily review & analysis of internal tools for KPI reviews & KPI improvements Complete activities, tasks and special projects as needed by executives and leadership or as business needs change

What You'll Bring

Strong communication skills in English and other languages (German a plus) Solid understanding of demand and supply chain principles Valid driving license Knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and strategies Experience within Production Planning, Supply Chain, Production scheduling or related environment Proficiency in ERP systems, data analysis, and Excel Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment The responsibilities of this position may change over time, this role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
