Tasks

• Perform duties as part of a deployment team including internal resources as well as external vendors to remove existing aging network infrastructure and replace with current company standards and designs
• Installs, configures, monitors, administers, troubleshoots, and maintains network & telecom services, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), VoIP/UCaaS/PBX, Firewall, cloud-based services, and other network & telecom infrastructure
• Detects, analyzes, diagnoses, reports, and resolves problems associated with network & telecom services, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), VoIP/UCaaS/PBX, Firewall, cloud-based services, and other network & telecom infrastructure
• Co-administer information systems with other support staff, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), VoIP/UCaaS/PBX, Firewall, cloud based services, and other network & telecom infrastructure
• Ensure appropriate network & telecom patches and hot fixes are applied in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure the integrity of company information systems
• Collaborate with Systems & Info. Sec. teams to implement and document secure network solutions according to industry best practices
• Help analyze system or application usage and plan for growth or increases in capacity
• Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts
• Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services
• Ensure proper steps are taken for tracking of servers, switches, routers, telecom systems and associated assets
• Perform job related system audits
• Monitor and test network & telecom infrastructure performance. Take appropriate action if necessary
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases
• Designs, specifies, and documents systems configurations according to user needs, utilizing outside support resources as appropriate
• Analyze network load, including traffic and utilization trends using network tools.
• Conform to all safety and confidentiality rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
• Takes major roles or manages various ITS projects as needed
• Migrates and integrates acquired companies\xe2\x80\x99 computing environments with the existing Mauser environment
• Travels to remote facilities as required (25%)
• Performs other related duties as required

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years related experience
• Distinct knowledge in Firewalls (CheckPoint, Meraki, Palo Alto, etc), Proxies/Web Content Filtering (Palo Alto, Threat Management Gateway, etc), Routing/Routers (Cisco ISR), Switching/Switches (Cisco Catalyst 2960, 3750, 3850, etc..., Meraki MS switches, Extreme Switch (Summit series, Black Diamond, etc\xe2\x80\xa6), Dynamic Routing Protocols (OSPF,HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, etc.), VoIP/Telephony Protocols (PBX, H.323, SIP, SCCP, etc...), Wireless Standards and Technologies
• Distinct knowledge in Monitoring and Logging (SolarWinds LEM, SYSLOG, PRTG, etc...), Network Services (DNS, DHCP, etc), Windows Server/Desktop OS (All), Web Browsers (IE, Chrome, etc.), Common PC Apps (Office, Adobe, Zip, etc), Remote Control (Bomgar, etc), other Network Technologies
• Excellent communication skills (English & German) with different stakeholders
• Team-oriented approach, ability to work under pressure and hands-on mentality
