In this Berlin-based role, as a Senior Marketing Manager, you will focus on further developing Zalando as the #1 destination for fashion and lifestyle in Germany. You will manage all local marketing activities with the aim of further strengthening the Zalando brand in the market as well as driving relevant traffic to our local site and app.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Implement a local touchpoint and media strategy for the German market in line with the country strategy and overall marketing strategy. Manage the marketing budget for the German market including spend planning and reporting, in alignment with the Team Lead. Ensure the implementation of the media strategy and plan in collaboration with the DE Marketing Team’s Media Senior Manager
Drive the development and execution of sports marketing and sponsorship initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and impactful activations that elevate brand presence and foster strong fan engagement
Steer our local Creative and Influencer Marketing agencies to ensure the best possible campaign execution together in alignment with the DE Marketing Team
You will steer all marketing channels & touchpoints towards a consistent customer KPI management with local insight knowledge for all marketing activities
Localise and execute global campaigns across all relevant touchpoints in collaboration with the relevant teams (e.g. central Global Marketing Communication & Creative team, Retail, PR, Digital Media)
Develop and implement additional local marketing activities, discover insights and sources of growth to support the overall strategy. Be the expert of the market and up to date with the latest trends
Act as the guardian of the Zalando brand by ensuring consistency in communication (tone of voice) across the different touchpoints
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

Degree in Business Administration or Marketing and strong understanding of the various Offline and Online Marketing Channels with focus on strategic media planning. 5-7 years of professional experience with Marketing
Working language is English, but also fluent in German is a must
Demonstrable knowledge of sports marketing and sponsorship principles and strategies, coupled with a genuine passion for the sports industry
Creative problem solving skills and a sharp focus on impact
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to build trusted relationships both internally and externally (incl. Media, Creative and Influencer Marketing agency)
Very strong project management skills
Profound knowledge of the German market
Strong Excel knowledge with great analytical and reporting skills. Well organised and good communicator
