Senior Inspector for Structural & Coating

– Offshore Station - at our location in Batam/ Indonesia

, who will contribute to this and that might be you?

Your profile and background

You are an

experienced international welding engineer

with NACE II/ III certificate and Coating FROSIO level 3 certificate Ideally you bring already experience with a

stressed skin design of topsides

You are

familiar with the rules and regulations

applicable for construction of offshore structures in the German North Sea (BSH, DNV, WSV) as well as with applicable EN-ISO structural, welding and coating standards (e.g.: EN 1090, DIN 18088-13, ISO 3834, ISO 9606, ISO 12944, VGB standard offshore) Besides

you bring many years of experience

with working on large steel construction projects on yards, preferably in a senior inspector or supervisory role, and experiences with coating systems on large offshore projects You are

fluent in English, additional languages

(e.g. German) of advantage Finally you are

willing to work and live abroad

in a yard location environment (Batam – Indonesia) for an extended period of time i.e project duration (4-5 years) and willing to travel to other fabrication facilities (e.g. panel fabrication yards in Asia)

Your contribution to TenneT

In this interesting role you are responsible for the

quality assurance

during fabrication of the scope of

the topside and jacket construction

in the fabrication yard (i.e.

structural, welding quality, dimensional control, weight and coating

) with all

documentation

delivered complete and in good quality.You will be

reporting to the Lead Yard Management

hierarchically, and to Site/Construction Manager functionally and operationally Besides you are

responsible for issue management

in terms of monitoring findings, developing and tracing mitigation measures and following up on the rectification Additionally you

coordinate the site structural

, welding and coating inspectors to attend and witness the structural inspections Besides you

cooperate with Sub-Project Lead

structural and the certifying authority for acceptance of the structural execution of the platform You cooperate with

HVDC/platform project team

(Project Lead Offshore Platform, Project Lead HVDC, Sub-Project Lead Structural, Technical Specialists, Operations & Maintenance Offshore personnel and the HSE Manager) Finally you

ensure that the execution of the project is in line with the site manual and goal set for HSE

, the delivery schedule, contract specifications and conditions, relevant procedures and methods, quality assurance policies and procedures

This will be our challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

Additional information

As soon as possible The German contract for this position is unlimited but the long-term expat conditions are limited to 3-5 years The position requires a regular willingness to travel, depending on the respective requirements Job interviews for this position will be in German and English During the long-term-expat conditions you are working 44 hours/week// The ordinary weekly working time is 37 hours You need to obtain the needed mecical examinations: G20, G25, G41, AWMF
