About the position (role & team):

We’re looking for an experienced

Full Stack Engineer (Senior to Principal level)

to join our

Ops Driver Team

. You’ll play a key role in building and scaling our driver-facing products — mobile and web — that empower public transport operators and drivers across the world.


This is a senior position for someone with

7–10 years of experience

who’s ready to take ownership of high-impact projects in a

serverless, event-driven environment

. You’ll drive technical direction, architecture, and execution across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers.


You’ll join a friendly, highly collaborative team based in our

Berlin office

, working with colleagues there and some colleagues in other locations across Europe. The team meets in person every year for planning, alignment, and good coffee.

Responsibilities

:

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using

React (Web & React Native), TypeScript, Redux/Redux-Saga

on the frontend, and

Node.js with TypeScript

on

AWS Lambda

for the backend. Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our

Driver App

and its supporting services. Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to deliver intuitive, user-centric features for our mobile and web apps. Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure system-wide reliability, scalability, and performance. Take ownership of the full development lifecycle — from idea to production monitoring. Lead or mentor other engineers, helping elevate code quality, best practices, and technical craftsmanship across the team. Contribute to technical discussions on architecture, design patterns, and infrastructure, especially in our

serverless and event-driven systems

.


Requirements:

7+ years of experience

in full-stack development, including experience with

TypeScript

,

React

, and

Node.js

. Proven experience building and maintaining

mobile and/or web apps

at scale. Hands-on experience with

serverless architectures

, especially

AWS Lambda

, and strong understanding of event-driven systems (event sourcing, CQRS). Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL). Familiarity with

AWS Aurora

,

DynamoDB

, and

Elasticsearch

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of

infrastructure-as-code

, ideally with

AWS CDK

. Comfort navigating and improving CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Cypress, RN Detox). Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset — you enjoy mentoring and learning from others.

Nice to Have:

Experience with

mobile app development

(e.g. cross-platform frameworks or native app development), including deploying mobile apps to app stores. Background in

public transport or mobility

domains.
