As a Senior Engineering Manager at Nelly in the Financial Products domain, you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of highly skilled engineers and ensuring your team delivers outstanding results in both technology and business outcomes.

Joining us, you will

Lead, inspire and grow a high-performing team of 4-6 software engineers. Collaborate with the product manager to define the roadmap and priorities for your team, while coordinating with dependencies across the company. Shape team practices and ways of working for a newly-formed team, establishing guidelines, best practices, and processes that enable high-velocity delivery. Take ownership of the quality and security of the software within your team and drive initiatives to improve it continuously. Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Nelly’s engineering leadership team.

What you'll bring

4+ years of engineering management experience and 8+ years of overall experience in the industry. A strong technical background with hands-on experience in building SaaS products. Experience working with the TypeScript ecosystem and public cloud providers (ideally AWS). A deep understanding of software development processes and the ability to set up a team for success. Empathy and excellent communication skills. Experience in developing, mentoring and growing a high-performing team. Fluent English skills, with German being a strong plus but not mandatory. Experience in financial or payment products is also an important advantage.
