Our Data & AI Foundational Platform team is at the heart of E.ON’s data-driven enablement. We provide central platform products and services that enable our colleagues to work with data efficiently, securely and at scale. By driving the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, we empower teams across the business to unlock insights, make better decisions and innovate faster.

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will collaborate closely with platform architects, data engineers, governance experts and business stakeholders. Your work will ensure that our platform offering remains robust, user-friendly and future-proof.

Your Role

Drive E.ON’s data democratization as part of the central Data & AI Foundational Platform team Promote adoption and scaling of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI with 20,000+ active users Onboard colleagues to the platform and create engaging learning materials Consult and support internal customers in building data analytics solutions Optimize and automate development and support processes for efficiency and scalability Collaborate with customers and partners to align platform development with business needs

Your Profile

– authentic & open-mindedDegree in computer science, IT, or related field, with solid experience in cloud-based data warehousing, engineering, and analytics Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Power BI (including DAX, SQL, Spark) In-depth knowledge of tenant-level administration, IT security, data protection, and governance in enterprise environments Skilled in cloud service management and monitoring, especially Azure at enterprise scale Experience with programming, APIs, and CI/CD (e.g., Python, GitLab) Strong service orientation, excellent communication skills, and collaborative mindset Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus
