We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will support our mission, using the latest and greatest services and technologies. If our mission is aligned with your values and personal goals, we want to get to know you!



WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING



Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, storage solutions, and architectures to support our carbon accounting and decarbonization objectives

Design and implement complex data models for analytics use cases

Build efficient data transformations and continuously improve performance to balance execution time and environmental impact

Design and implement AI-driven features to enhance customer data exploration, anomaly detection, and intelligent insights

Take ownership of projects with a hands-on mentality, including technical reviews, documentation, and mentoring

Requirements

Strong Python skills and a track record of writing clean, simple, and well-tested code

Experience deploying AWS services with IaC (Terraform), including Lambda, S3, IAM, ECS, DynamoDB, and RDS

Strong knowledge of database optimization techniques (e.g. partitions, indexing, and query performance tuning)

Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)

Experience with BI solutions (ideally Metabase) and orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions)

Experience building, maintaining, and documenting APIs (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)

Experience with modern AI technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases

Experience working effectively in collaborative environments
