Senior D365 Business Central Developer (Freelance)

to join our expert network and contribute to high-impact ERP delivery.

Role Overview

We are looking for a

highly experienced Senior D365 Business Central Developer

who can independently lead technical design, development, and solution delivery. This freelance role requires someone who brings deep technical expertise in D365 BC, can guide clients and internal teams, make architectural recommendations, and ensure best-practice implementation. Experience with

D365 Finance & Operations (FO)

is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

As a senior-level professional, you will be expected to:

Lead the design and development of advanced customizations, extensions, and integrations for D365 BC. Architect technical solutions aligned with business requirements and Microsoft best practices. Own complex development tasks, including AL coding, refactoring, and C/AL modernization. Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to propose optimal technical approaches. Troubleshoot complex performance, integration, and stability issues. Produce high-quality technical documentation and contribute to solution architecture. Mentor junior developers when applicable and ensure code review standards are upheld. Deliver work independently, reliably, and within agreed project timelines.

Required Senior-Level Qualifications

5+ years

of hands-on experience with

D365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV

development. Expert-level proficiency in

AL

,

C/AL

, and extension-based development. Deep understanding of ERP functional domains (Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, Sales). Strong experience with integrations: APIs, web services, and external systems. Ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions with minimal oversight. Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Experience contributing to or integrating with

Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (FO)

. Azure DevOps experience (pipelines, repos, CI/CD for BC). Familiarity with

BC SaaS

, hybrid, and on-prem environments. Power Platform exposure (Power Apps, Power Automate). Reporting knowledge (Jet Reports, Power BI).
