The Role Future Advocacy is seeking a Senior Consultant in Media and Strategic Communications (Germany) . This is a great opportunity to do impactful work within a small, dynamic organisation that places a strong focus on team and personal development. The successful candidate will be a versatile and talented communications professional, eager to lead and contribute to meaningful strategic communications initiatives with our brilliant clients. They will work closely with the CEO, Germany Director and other senior leaders, becoming an integral part of our energetic and dedicated team. The role would suit a former journalist or someone with a strong background in PR and Strategic Communications. The Senior Consultant in Media and Strategic Communications(Germany) will also support the Germany Director in implementing the ‘Strategic Communications and Advocacy Lab (SCAL)’, which works with partners to raise awareness and understanding about the importance of reducing poverty and improving health in low income countries. Responsibilities will include Launch and run a dynamic newsroom that seizes on breaking and relevant stories. Drive bold media engagement - leading high-level outreach, managing relationships, and pitching compelling stories that land coverage where it matters most. Spot and seize media opportunities by identifying stories with the power to drive public debate and policy. Write compelling op-eds and news pieces that cut through the noise and resonate with diverse audiences. Contribute to designing and delivering standout communications strategies that amplify our partners’ voices and impact. Contribute to modelling and strengthening our culture. Contribute flexibly and proactively, taking on additional tasks that help the team succeed as needed. None We would love to hear from you if you meet the criteria below At least 5 - 10 years of proven success in at least one of the following, with a significant part of that work experience having been in Germany : Journalism Strategic Communications within a political organisation, civil society organisation or similar PR: Designing and executing strategic communication and media strategies to drive policy change Native level writing and verbal communication skills in German are a must , as well as exceptional communication skills in English Excellent understanding of the Germany media and political system and strong contacts within it Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to manage competing priorities Precision in delivering high quality work in a fast-paced yet supportive environment Experience in effectively managing projects Undergraduate degree or equivalent, or above Nice to Have Experience in, and enthusiasm for, using AI tools ethically for advocacy, campaigns, communications, and research Experience working on international development and/or related topics None Salary and Benefits: €50-70k depending on experience, plus discretionary annual bonus, a 6% employer pension contribution, the right to work from any location for up to 25 working days per year.
