Your Future Role


At our modern office at ARTmax in Braunschweig, over 250 colleagues from 26 countries work on research and development with a focus on the digitization of rail. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to the Site Procurement Director and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.




As Senior Buyer, you will secure to set up the full sourcing / supplier selection process, create supplier contracts and manage those in collaboration with internal stakeholders. You will deploy Commodity Strategies and ensure project execution is in line QCD (Quality Cost Delivery) objectives for defined projects.




You are result and data driven and cooperative. You are comfortable in an international and multi-cultural environment and on-time delivery for you is trouble-free.




We’ll look for you to:

Manage the sourcing / supplier selection process, establish contracts and manage those.

Support the Commodity Strategies and deploy those within your area of scope / category.

Build and maintain a solid supplier relationship with identified key suppliers.

Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering o the highest standards of ethical conduct

Manage supplier performance and lead improvement action plans.

All About You




MASTER in purchasing or equivalent (engineering, project management) Interest in technical field 10 years of experience (Project, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality) in the area of Civil / construction works (Bauleistungen) Ability to work in a matrix environment Strong communication skills & Team spirit Ability to challenge Results oriented Rigorous, structured and flexible International mindset Fluent in German & English
