Senior Accounts Payable Accountant (m/f/d) with German skills
, you will be responsible for ensuring timely payments and further developing our processes.
This
full-time
position is to be filled as soon as possible and is initially
limited to 1 year
with the possibility of extension.
Your Responsibilities:
Invoice and Travel Expense Management: Timely posting and processing of incoming invoices in SAP (xFlow), including correct account assignment and tax codes, as well as handling travel expenses, advances, and credit card statements.
Payment Processing: Execution and follow-up of payment runs, manual payments, and returns, as well as checking and approving prepayments.
Account Reconciliation & Communication: Accurate reconciliation of vendor and general ledger accounts, clarification of open items, and communication with internal departments, external partners, and authorities.
Quality & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, supporting audits, and creating accruals as part of the period-end closing.
Process Optimization & Projects: Identifying improvement potential, documenting and automating processes, and actively participating in projects to increase efficiency.
Teamwork & Knowledge Transfer: Onboarding new colleagues, training departments, supporting junior team members, and participating in workshops and system tests.
Your Profile:
Completed studies (Bachelor/Master) or commercial training in accounting, business administration, economics, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in accounts payable or accounting
Knowledge of SAP (xFlow, ECC, S/4) and experience with ERP systems
Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (at least B2+)
Understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS) and tax requirements
Ideally, experience in project management and interest in process automation (e.g., programming, coding)
Structured, detail-oriented working style, team spirit, and proactive mindset
Experience in the agricultural industry is a plus
