About the Role:

As a

Senior Accountant

, you will play a critical role in managing and continuously improving our daily financial processes to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of all local accounting responsibilities and contribute directly to financial reporting and operations for both the German office and U.S. headquarters. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to drive innovation and excellence, taking ownership of key responsibilities that directly contribute to our success.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Include:

Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations Support monthly and annual financial statement preparation in coordination with U.S. headquarters Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory reports (e.g., EC Sales List, Intrastat, OSS) Contribute to cash management, including weekly cash flow forecasts Collaborate with external tax advisors on tax returns, audits, and other compliance matters Ensure accurate inventory valuation and proper accounting of stock levels Maintain financial records in line with German commercial and tax law requirements Work closely with the global finance team on international projects and continuous improvement efforts

What We’re Looking For:

Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

Degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, or Tax focus), or equivalent qualifications like Bilanzbuchhalter or Steuerfachwirt At least two years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or product-based setting Strong understanding of German accounting standards; US GAAP knowledge is a plus Experience with ERP systems, preferably Syteline or other Infor platforms Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Fluent in German and English at a business level Organized and detail-oriented with strong time and project management skills Tech-savvy with a solution-focused mindset * Familiarity with the bicycle industry or cycling culture is a bonus
