Amazon is seeking a Loss Prevention Manager to join the Loss Prevention Cluster 9 (which covers southern Germany) in order to deliver tangible benefits, by providing Security-as-a-Service for the whole supply chain.

You will be based in the DBY4 Delivery Station in Nuremberg, but will also support multiple Amazon Sites of different business type within the cluster in the following fields:

• Loss exposure and loss controls analysis,
• Loss investigation, and when necessary, theft investigation,
• Physical security systems and controls,
• Contracting guard services,
• Workplace violence mitigation,
• Loss prevention education and awareness,
• Thorough loss prevention audit programs,
• Incident Management

Key job responsibilities

• Effectively partner with operations and support functions, in evaluating current and future business processes and security initiatives,
• Monitor the Amazons Sites within Loss Prevention Cluster 9 in terms of ongoing compliance with Amazon\xe2\x80\x99s security policies,
• Identify, develop and implement additional loss prevention strategies to meet the unique needs of the Amazons Sites within Loss Prevention Cluster 9
• Conduct internal investigations on policy violations and malicious activity
• Respond to emergency situations within the cluster
• Work in a team of 4 Loss Prevention Managers and 2 Specialists
• Regular workplace is DBY4, but the ability to travel to other sites in the cluster is required by business need (business travel up to 50%, home office possible and encouraged)

About the team
The role of Security & Loss Prevention Manager in DBY4 is part of the Loss Prevention Cluster 9, which covers southern Germany. Under the lead of the Cluster Manager, the team counts up to 7 individuals on different sites throughout the whole cluster area. In the Franken Area you work a single Point of Contact for all Security Questions but can rely on a strong and flexible team in your back. Most of the team is traveling frequently and mutual support is key for Multi-Site Loss Prevention Management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1) Bachelor Degree
2) Relevant qualification in loss prevention, security management, administration of justice or a related field; equivalent experience could suffice as an alternative.
3) Demonstrable loss prevention program exposure, including experience in a distribution environment at senior level,
4) Decision-making and independent problem-solving:
o You can effectively gather the right data from appropriate sources, while considering all of the facts and other perspectives,
o You\xe2\x80\x99ll conduct root cause analysis and draw sound conclusions,
o You\xe2\x80\x99ll priorities key factors and act independently, decisively, promptly and confidently,

o Be able to operate with limited guidance from management,
o Demonstrate ability to identify the customer expectation, adjusting language and style to suit the listener,
o Structure information using correct terminology and grammar,
o Be solutions-focused, customer-focused, and always deliver excellent follow-up.
o Fluency in German and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS \xe2\x80\xa2 Higher academic degree or relevant qualification would be advantageous,

• A grasp of Kaizen and Lean methodologies and techniques would be advantageous,
• Certification in formal investigation procedures (Wicklander/Zulawski) as well as security certifications (ASIS, TAPA) are a plus
