Completed training in the field of Security
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
English fluency and German preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities
The duties of the position will include, but will not be limited to:
Primary Focus
Coordinates and provides oversight of all security issues at FIS. This includes the procedures, policies, decision-making protocols, and the overall culture of security in the community.
Ensures the security of the FIS campus and the efficient operation of our events and services.
Supports any other operational project/task that may be assigned by the Director of Finance and Operations.
Campus Security
Makes recommendations on and update the Crisis Manual and the risk level matrix regularly in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Finance and Operations.
Manages individuals' access to campus, including appropriate background checks and access control software (AEOS).
Assists with daily supervision of school entrances and parking areas during arrival & dismissal.
Monitors the transportation chaperons and helps them to understand their roles and responsibilities.
Serves as the backup for the Transportation Coordinator.
Checks incoming bills of the external security company and is the first point of contact for the Security companies.
Supports annual Security Budget control.
Supports the security of large-scale events - i.e. World Fest, Apple Fest in collaboration with the Chief Hausmeister and the external security company.
Completes regular inspections of all areas of the campus and buildings to ensure that the facility is maintained to the highest standard and that any security concerns are addressed immediately. These inspection areas will include, but are not limited to:
+ Classrooms / Thoroughfares, Common areas, i.e. cafeteria + auditorium / Bathrooms / Exterior walkways / Sports Facilities / Playgrounds / All exits / Perimeter Fences and Gates / Surveillance Cameras.
Off-Campus Safety and Security / Trips
Conducts site inspections for new off campus excursions if required.
Supports teachers in the development of appropriate risk management plans for off-campus events.
Coordinates the overall trip process and handles incoming trip form requests from divisions. Ensures trips are safe and gives recommendations for further approval.
Collaboration/Meetings
First point of contact for any concerns regarding security matters.
Organizes regular Security Committee meetings.
Keeps updated internal documentation and communication about security matters.
Provides/arranges crisis training for ADCON/Crisis Response Team.
Supports counselling team and teaching teams with regards to student learning in the area of safety (stranger danger, etc.).
Working time is primarily spread across school days with work-free school holidays. A certain flexibility in working times is required due to school events and activities on evenings/weekends.
