Role description

The core objective is to lead and manage SAP BODS engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery, effective stakeholder engagement, and adherence to quality and financial standards.

Core Responsibilities

ETL Development:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) to extract, transform, and load data from SAP and non-SAP systems.

Data Integration & Migration:

Handle data migration projects involving SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud targets (AWS, Azure). Apply transformation rules, validations, and performance tuning.

SQL Expertise:

Write and optimize SQL queries for data profiling, cleansing, and validation across multiple databases (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA).

Performance Optimization:

Troubleshoot and optimize BODS workflows and jobs for efficiency and reliability.

Documentation & Testing:

Create technical documentation; perform unit/integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Collaboration:

Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Technical Skills

SAP BODS:

Expertise in the SAP BusinessObjects Data Services platform.

ANSI-SQL:

Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing standard SQL queries.

Dimensional Data Modeling:

Experience in designing data warehouses and data marts.

MS Excel:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Management & Soft Skills

Communication:

Must have good communication skills.

Customer Handling:

Ability to handle difficult customers or stakeholders.

German Proficiency:

An advantage for the role.
AI responses may include mistakes.
