Object First is seeking a Sales Engineer
to join our growing team! This technical role works closely with the broader Go-To-Market (GTM) team to support our partners, prospects, and customers. As a Sales Engineer, you will be expected to enable partners to perform all key functions of the role, including running
Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
independently.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for Object First products and related technologies.
Lead technical sales presentations, demos, and proof of concepts to customers and partners.
Build and maintain strong technical relationships with partners and customers in your territory.
Qualify opportunities by assessing technical requirements, solution fit, and competitive landscape.
Support sales team in customer meetings and technical discussions.
Drive partner enablement through training and technical guidance.
Participate in events, webinars, and user groups to generate leads.
Work closely with sales team to develop technical solutions that meet customer needs.
Requirements:
Technical Qualifications
Technical expertise in data protection, storage, networking, and virtualization (Veeam experience is a plus).
3-5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, IT Infrastructure, or Data Protection solutions.
Previous experience working with Veeam, storage, or backup technologies.
Experience in software, DevOps, or data protection pre-sales environments.
Fluent in German and English.
Experience presenting to and working with C-level executives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication is required.
Certifications
Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) strongly preferred.
Related credentials such as VMCA, VMware VCP, Commvault, or NetApp certifications are also considered a plus.

Strong track record of customer-facing presentations and demos.
Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, and resourceful problem-solver.
Quick learner with the ability to master and teach new technologies.
Thrives in fast-paced environments and handles multiple engagements effectively.
Collaborative team player who works well across departments.
Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings and events.
