To further strengthen our presence in East Germany, we are looking for an Account Manager (m/f/d) who is eager to shape growth, build meaningful customer relationships, and bring our portfolio to life within the artisan and distribution channels. This is a home-based role with significant travel, ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, collaboration, and being close to customers.
As part of our Sales organization, you will take full responsibility for developing your region - identifying opportunities, driving commercial initiatives, and ensuring that our customers experience the full value of Barry Callebaut's products and solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, acting as a trusted advisor who understands customer needs and translates them into long-term business success.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities and revenue streams
Build, nurture, and expand long-term relationships with existing and new customers
Drive sales of our product portfolio and strengthen strategic partnerships
Lead commercial negotiations and manage contract terms
Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between customers and internal teams
Achieve sales and profitability targets for your region
Monitor market and competitor trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
Conduct market and competitive analyses
Maintain accurate and high-quality data in Salesforce
Your profile
Strong commercial mindset and at least 3 years of sales experience, ideally in the food or/and bakery & pastry industry
Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational training in food craftsmanship
Fluency in German and solid English skills for business communication
Confident use of MS Office; experience with SAP and Salesforce is a strong plus
Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities
Valid driver's license
