Chair of Digital Industrial Service Systems (Prof. Dr. Martin Matzner)
Ihre Aufgaben
Your research focus is directed to the area of business process management. In particular, you investigate the analytical part of BPM based on event data – commonly referred to as process mining. Within this context, you develop methods, techniques, algorithms that help organizations to improve their processes based on insights yielded from their data – you make “the data speak.” Furthermore, to act on the insights, we deal with the topic of business process automation, i.e., how organizations can automate process activities for increased efficiency, which is gaining increased attention in the course of digitalization. To sum up, you will be developing innovative frameworks, methods, and tools for supporting business processes. Amongst others, you will, for example, support our efforts in creating a prediction approach for business processes usable for fraud detection or optimized logistics planning.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates (m/f/d) who drive their work independently. Your work will focus on contributing to the industry and research projects of our chair. We expect you to present and publish your work at national and international conferences and in scientific journals. Furthermore, research stays with our international partners can be made possible in coordination with the project requirements. In addition, we expect you to provide appropriate support with chair-related teaching (conception and implementation) and administrative duties.
