The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) is looking for a research assistant (HiWi) to assist with several projects in the research group.
The group works on the link between shingles vaccination and dementia (see: https://www.nature.com/articles (link is external); https://jamanetwork.com/journals (link is external); https://www.cell.com (link is external)), as well as vaccines, infections, and chronic diseases more generally.
Data sources for our work in this area are large-scale electronic health record data, medical claims data, mortality registries, and epidemiological cohort studies.

Your Tasks
--------------
The HiWi will work under the guidance of Dr. Pascal Geldsetzer and other researchers at Heidelberg and Stanford University. Working remotely is possible. There is no fixed start date – the team is hiring on an ongoing basis. HiWis should be available for at least six months.
A medical background is not needed. The HiWi will be an author on publications to which he/she has contributed.
