, a leading German engineering consultancy, to support one of their flagship clients – a

global technology manufacturer

developing advanced hardware and software solutions used across communications, measurement, defence, and industrial systems.


We are currently seeking an experienced

Qt / C++ Application Developer

to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for the ongoing development of a

mission-critical desktop and embedded application

used by engineers and technical users worldwide.


This is a long-term, hybrid opportunity based in

Munich

, offering stability, technical depth, and the chance to work on software that directly interfaces with high-value hardware systems.

What you will be doing

--------------------------


As part of the application development team, you will:

Develop and extend an existing

Qt-based application

used in technical and industrial environments Work closely with

users, product owners and interface partners

to refine and implement new functionality Design and implement features using

Qt (QML & Qt Widgets) and modern C++

Integrate software with hardware-driven and embedded systems Contribute to build and deployment processes using

CMake, Git and Visual Studio

Produce clear

technical documentation and user guidance

This role suits someone who enjoys working close to real-world engineering problems rather than purely consumer or web-based software.

What we are looking for

You will bring:

Strong commercial experience with

Qt (QML & Qt Widgets)

Excellent

C++

development skills Experience using

Git

for version control Practical knowledge of

CMake

and

Visual Studio

Background in

embedded, industrial, or hardware-related software

(highly advantageous) Ability to work independently and communicate with technical stakeholders

Languages:

German:

Professional to fluent level (required)

English:

Basic working level

This role is

not suitable for graduates or junior developers

– the client requires engineers who can operate independently in a complex technical environment.

Salary guide

----------------


The end client has approved the following ranges:

€60,000 – €75,000

for engineers with

3-5 years’ experience

€75,000 – €90,000

for engineers with

5+ years’ experience

(Salary also depends on experience, technical depth, and German language proficiency.)
