Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to lead the development of electrified powertrain systems. This role involves translating customer needs and market trends into robust technical specifications, overseeing development of Vehicle Control Unit features, and managing a team of system engineers to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Market Translation:

Translate customer requirements and emerging market trends into detailed technical specifications for electrified powertrain features.

System Development & Validation:

Oversee the design, development, and validation of propulsion systems, including:

Energy management strategies

Torque delivery mechanisms

Drive mode functionalities

Hybrid Vehicle System Design Experience

Experience in Vehicle Control/Supervisory Control

Experience in Transmission control for Hybrids

All Wheel Drive Control experience

Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor system engineers to derive system-level requirements from technical specifications and ensure alignment with overall vehicle architecture.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams to ensure cohesive system performance and compliance with regulatory standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of system requirements, validation results, and technical decisions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Proven experience in electrified powertrain systems development.

Strong understanding of energy management, torque control, and drive mode strategies.

Experience in managing engineering teams and system-level requirement derivation.

Native German or EU citizenship.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with automotive standards and safety regulations (ISO 26262, ASPICE).

Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
