We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning & Scheduling Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the planning and scheduling of industrial construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in project controls, timeline management, and resource coordination. You will work closely with project managers, schedulers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will work in a very dynamic, high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and challenging goals.
What You'll Do
Assist in developing and maintaining integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
Support the collection and integration of schedule inputs from project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
Monitor project progress, update schedules, and analyze variances to identify potential delays or risks
Prepare reports on project timelines, resource allocation, and milestones for internal stakeholders
Participate in turnaround planning for industrial projects, including coordinating phases of shutdowns, repairs, and restarts
Conduct basic data analysis to evaluate the impact of changes on project timelines and costs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between planning, procurement, and on-site execution
Assist in documenting schedule-related communications and updates for clients and stakeholders
Perform administrative tasks such as organizing schedule data, creating visual aids (e.g., Gantt charts), and supporting baseline schedule development
Contribute to process improvements by sharing insights from academic knowledge or research
What You'll Bring
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German skills are also beneficial
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Affinity to numbers, preferably experience in cost management
Knowledge in the use of common MS Office application
Analyse problems and find solutions in a structured manner
Analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented
Ability to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent manner
