As a Product Manager (m/w/d) you are responsible for product strategy and growth and drive these forward.


You are therefore responsible for driving the development and implementation of products that meet market requirements, from conception and market launch to marketing and the end-of-life phase, in order to achieve growth and profitability for the respective products.


Your tasks




Analyze customer trends, understand market requirements and competitive landscape and translate to full lifecycle product specifications and requirements (OE/AM) through direct customer interactions. Develop Product Strategic Roadmap (PLSR) in alignment with Business Unit strategy for differentiated product placement in the market Manage the total product lifecycle to maximize price, revenue, contribution margin and market share through collaboration with Commercial, Operations (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality), Engineering. Is accountable and has authority to drive organization to cost targets by analyzing product cost and designing and implementing a path to get to improved cost position. Prioritize, develop & gain business case approval addressing enhancements/gaps through strategic initiatives and New Product Development (DTO, DtV, NPD). Be accountable for initiating and launching New Product Developments. Make certain that all elements are in place for a successful launch of the product including go-to-market strategy (channel, manufacturing model ATO/MTO/ETO), pricing, target customers and launch plans, and training for Commercial. Deliver against business case projections and validate that product meets originally defined market need. Accountable (in close collaboration with SIOP team, Sales and ComOps) to define medium and long-term demand plan. Track, validate, and execute obsolescence and rationalization strategy as defined in PLSR. 25-35% Travel required.

Requirements:




Engineering degree required (Mechanical or Electrical) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Sales, Commercial operations, Product Management, and/or Marketing of engineered products positions. Advanced communication, collaboration, financial acumen and strategic thinking skills Strong market research skills and customer intimacy; ability to distill pain points and apply findings and insights to FLS product portfolio. Technical knowledge of assigned product portfolio & related applications. Ability to drive strategic initiatives within the organization and lead by influence Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders Experience working across different cultures and markets. Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to create, inspire and lead virtual teams that deliver results. Proven project management experience with history of successful project completion and payback Excellent communication skills both oral and written, in English and German Experience in a multi-national company
