Procurement Team Lead

Procurement & Logistics Engineering Specialist (m/f/d)

Are you excited to kickstart your career at the intersection of engineering and global supply chains? This 2-year opportunity will immerse you in high-impact development projects, supplier interactions, and strategic procurement—giving you real responsibility from day one.


Join our cross-functional team in Heidelberg, where you'll support the creation and optimization of products produced by highly automated and modern product lines. You’ll collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams, working closely with suppliers to ensure innovation, reliability, and efficiency at every step.


You will be mainly accountable for:

Contribute to product development projects as sub-project manager for procurement and logistics, coordinating all SCM activities Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Logistics, and strategic suppliers to ensure transparency, alignment and timely execution Develop, plan, and implement supply strategies for several categories with a focus on cost, quality, delivery, and supplier reliability Lead or support negotiations with suppliers including renewing of price lists, optimizing terms, and managing long-term agreements Identify and nominate new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality team. Support their development to meet the required level for sustainable quality and on-time delivery performance.

Qualifications for the role

A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or business administration with a focus on supply chain or operations Ideally up to 3 years of experience (internships, student roles, or junior positions welcome) in procurement, supply chain, or logistics Strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset High degree of flexibility, team spirit, motivation and the ability to influence at all levels in a multi-stakeholder environment. Fluent German and English language at C2 level Willingness to travel (up to 25%, mostly within Europe)
