What to Expect

We are seeking a highly self-motivated person focused on improving and maintaining joining quality processes for manufacturing body assemblies and battery enclosure. The successful candidate will have extensive theoretical and hands-on experience in all facets of various joining technologies and related equipment, as well as experience managing new product introductions, equipment projects (new installations) and process optimization, upgrades & modifications.

What You'll Do

Responsible for continues process optimization in current production environment Collaborate closely with Quality Engineering to maintain and improve joining quality score Support and assist production in all quality and process related joining topics and issues Support maintenance team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and equipment failures Perform proof-of-concept to green light new and novel methods, technologies, and suppliers Develop welding joining database Maintain proper documentation of all necessary procedures and process control

What You'll Bring

3+ years of experiences with the at least one of mentioned below joining processes and equipment. Experience with operating robotic system Hands on robotics experience in an automotive environment Experience with extensive problem-solving and root cause analysis Experiences with the following: Hot joining processes: stud welding, MIG welding, Laser brazing and welding, Cold joining processes: riveting, bolting, adhesive application, hemming Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills and familiarity with MS Word/Excel is required Experience in setting up and running spot welding monitoring systems
