  • Proven experience working in a highly complex analytical environment preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation Planning.\n
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyse quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.\n
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and building of business cases.\n
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is required.\n
Amazon is looking for an experienced Principal, Network Planning, with a strong delivery record and senior leadership experience to own and manage strategic, cross-functional supply chain planning projects. Our team, Network Planning, drives strategic plans based on forecasts, and optimizes the flow of billions of units each year for EU customers. We own and drive strategic long-term fulfilment center decisions including site location, design, capacity expansion (buildouts), financial viability and impact on network dynamics. The Principal, Network Planning, will be owning long-term strategies, partnering with many stakeholder teams such as Operations, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, Retail and FBA, to plan and implement decisions. This high-visibility role will require working with business teams across the company to prioritize projects which support both new products/programs and existing operations and supply chain systems. \n

Key job responsibilities \n

  • \n
  • Ownership of a high-visibility strategic plan for internal customers. Ensure on-time delivery of the plan, providing customers with a mid to long-term view on expected volumes and capacity, which are critical inputs for these teams to run their operation, transportation and labor planning.\n
  • Analyzing future network programs and designs to understand their impact and assess risks on capacity, cost, speed, and reliability, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive and align analysis and business cases\n
  • Present strategic documents to update senior leadership on the progress of network programs\n
