Postdoctoral Researcher (gn)

(full-time, 40 hrs./week, starting in July 2026, 3 years, renewable once for up to 6 years)



and help shaping the future by bringing your expertise and passion to ESMT.

How youll make a difference

Contribute to the Center’s internationally visible research agenda Conduct independent research in the areas of belief formation in macroeconomics and finance Supervise, mentor, and coordinate pre-doctoral research assistants Actively participate in the strategic development of the research program Present research findings at national and international conferences Contribute to the preparation of grant applications No teaching obligations

What makes you a great fit

------------------------------

Ph.D. in economics, finance, or a related field by the start date Demonstrated ability to conduct independent empirical and/or theoretical research on the formation and role of subjective beliefs in economic decision-making Experience with methods for working with unstructured data Strong proficiency in statistical analysis Prior experience running information-provision experiments embedded in surveys is a plus Fluency in English; knowledge of German is advantageous but not required
