We desire to fill the position by 1 November, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment is initially limited to a period of three years. An extension for up to three more years may be feasible, taking into account the regulations of the relevant law (WissZeitVG).
The IAAEU is one of the leading institutes in the field of Labour Law and Labour and Personnel Economics in Germany. The research of the Economics team focuses on labour market institutions and their consequences for market outcomes. The successful applicant will contribute to the research output of the IAAEU focusing on the economic analysis of legal restrictions concerning labour. The position involves administrative tasks at the institute and offers the possibility to teach at Trier University in English and German. You
have a Master's degree and completed or are about to complete a Ph.D. in Economics or a related, relevant subject
are interested in Labour/ Personnel Economics and the economic analysis of Labour Law
are willing to cooperate in joint research projects
have a very good command of the German and English language
are ready to take an active role in a team of committed junior researchers, and
have first publications in refereed, international journals.
