The Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) is a German-Polish research center for data-intensive digital systems research.


CASUS is looking for a

Postdoc (f/m/d) Materials informatics researcher.

Your tasks

Design and train machine learning models to predict materials properties Develop and utilize automated computational workflows Analyze and interpret simulation data Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including experimental partners Present findings at scientific conferences and workshops Supervise and mentor junior members of the group

Your profile

Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field Experience with Density Functional Theory, molecular dynamics, or Monte Carlo simulations Proficiency in machine learning techniques and data analysis Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries Experience with Linux, Git, and collaborative software development tools Knowledge of web design or experience creating scientific websites is a plus Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment Excellent communication skills in English in a professional context
