You will spend your day reviewing code, guiding developers on best practices, and ensuring that platform components meet performance, security, and reliability standards. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and QA teams to maintain a robust and scalable platform for substation automation solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Conduct thorough code reviews for platform components, ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines
Identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks early in the development cycle
Validate code quality through static analysis tools and manual inspection.
Provide detailed feedback and maintain documentation of review findings for continuous improvement
Utilize modern development practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and automated testing frameworks
Work closely with developers, architects, and product owners to align platform development with business goals
Mentor team members on coding best practices and emerging technologies
Ensure proper handling of process data, configuration files, and integration of subsystems in automation environments as well as compliance with IEC standards and cybersecurity best practices (IEC 62443)
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in code review and platform development for industrial or automation software
Strong knowledge of programming languages (C++, C#, Rust, Python) and version control systems (Git)
Familiarity with substation automation protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus) and SCADA/HMI systems
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
