We are seeking a highly skilled

Photonics Engineer

to join our advanced optics and communication systems team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in optical communications systems with all its active and passive sub components (optical amplifiers, lasers, detectors, modulators and it's associated electronic components. You will play a key role in the design, development, optimization, and deployment of next-generation photonic and optical communication technologies.

Design, develop, and optimize

fiber optical amplifiers for telecommunication

Work on

fiber-optic and free-space optical communication systems

, including system architecture and performance evaluation Analyze and improve optical link budgets, noise figures, gain flatness, and signal integrity Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development, prototyping, and testing Support laboratory testing, system integration, and field trials Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and design reviews Stay current with advancements in photonics, optical communications, and related standards Support on automated test setups

What you bring with you

Required Qualifications

+ Master’s or PhD in

Photonics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering

, or a related field
+ Strong experience with

EDFAs

and optical amplification technologies
+ Solid background in

telecommunication systems

and optical networking
+ Proficiency in optical simulation and design tools (e.g., OptiSystem, VPI, Lumerical, MATLAB)
+ Understanding of lasers, modulators, detectors, and optical components
+ Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

+ Hands-on experience or good knowledge of

free-space optical (FSO) communication

+ Experience in system-level testing and performance validation
+ Background in R&D or product development environments
