Join our international R&D team specializing in metal additive manufacturing, with a primary focus on Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF). In this dynamic role, you will:
How You’ll Make an Impact
Focus on process quality, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across the entire additive manufacturing process chain—from job setup and machine calibration to machine monitoring, post-processing, and quality inspection
Drive the industrialization of LPBF within a serial manufacturing environment by working on LPBF machine setup-standardization, process control, and post processing challenges
Lead the implementation of digital solutions to enhance internal manufacturing processes
Implement your work at serial AM manufacturing sites in UK and SWE
Participate in publicly funded research projects and conduct independent research on topics relevant to our business
Have the opportunity to pursue a PhD thesis based on your work, with the topic to be jointly defined with your team leader
What You Bring
A master’s degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, industrial engineering, or a closely related field, completed with excellent academic results
Strong interest in the management and deployment of digital solutions to support manufacturing processes
Expertise in quality management for serial manufacturing and in powder bed based metal additive manufacturing
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-cultural team, ability to thrive in a cross-cultural team, working with colleagues from multiple countries
Self-motivated, with the confidence to make decisions independently after familiarization with the position, strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
Business-fluent in English, with at least conversational German skills
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
