The job


The Department of Cell Toxicology invites applications for a part-time position (65%) as a PhD student (f/m/x)


Your tasks


You work in a project that applies cell-based bioassays combining effects with persistence to derive cumulative (CTE) and persistent toxicity equivalents (PTE) You extract chemical pollutants from human matrices and test them in the cell-based bioassays You quantify the chemical mixtures in the extracts by target analysis You characterize the detected chemicals and their CTE and PTE scores and use them for mixture modelling You present results at international conferences and prepare publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Your profile


A Master or Diploma in environmental sciences, (eco)toxicology, bioanalysis, or related areas Research experience with in vitro bioassays, toxicology or analytical chemistry Skills in IT and modelling with a focus toxicity models Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills English required, German desirable) Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team
