As a People Operations Specialist, you will be part of our global People Experience Team, working closely with colleagues in the Global People Shared Services team. In this role, you’ll act as a key partner to our People Business Partners, driving smooth operations, supporting staffing processes, and enhancing the overall employee experience at Staffbase. This position is based in Chemnitz.

We are looking for a people-focused professional with a background in human resources, strong communication skills, and solid business acumen—someone who can confidently advise and support our internal stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing




Be the go-to person for employees on all people-related topics and liaise with external partners (e.g., benefits providers, authorities, visa and relocation partners)
Collaborate closely with our People Business Partners to drive HR initiatives
Handle employee inquiries through our internal ticketing system—always with a solution-oriented mindset
Manage key administrative and operational tasks, including drafting employment contracts, writing reference letters, and creating certificates
Maintain and update employee records in our HR systems, ensuring data accuracy at the highest standard.
Create and keep guidelines, FAQs, and company policies up to date
Lead smooth onboarding experiences and support employees throughout their entire journey with Staffbase
Work closely with our payroll provider to deliver accurate and timely payroll data
Continuously look for ways to optimize processes, simplify workflows, and enhance the overall employee experience

What you need to be successful




A completed apprenticeship or degree in Human Resources (or a related field)
Hands-on HR experience, ideally in a fast-growing company or dynamic environment
Strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without losing focus
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the confidence to work independently with energy and enthusiasm
Great interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others succeed
Knowledge of German HR law and payroll administration
Familiarity with HR policies, processes, and HR software systems
