Your RoleEvaluate optical designs for mobile imaging applications and provide constructive feedback for enhancements and design guidelines. Develop and accurately predict the performance of complex miniaturized optical systems Develop simulations that accurately reflect measurement results, ensuring alignment between theoretical models and empirical data. Investigate the feasibility of innovative approaches to address challenges in cutting-edge miniature camera designs. Coordinate with overseas suppliers to manufacture lenses and assist in conducting failure analyses. Prepare regular technical communications for executive and cross-functional briefings. Collaborate closely with software teams and partners to create advanced algorithms that optimize module performance.

Your ProfileMaster’s degree in optical engineering, physics, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience. Experience in designing optical modules (e.g., cameras, displays, depth sensors). Proficiency in numerical simulation software such as CodeV, Zemax, FRED, LightTools, Matlab, Python etc. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus), along with strong teamwork and leadership capabilities Self-motivated professional with a collaborative spirit and a passion for innovation. Familiarity with lens manufacturing methods (e.g., cast molding, injection molding, free-form surface generation, diamond turning, physical vapor deposition etc.) would be a big plus
