We are currently seeking a
Night Porter
to join our vibrant, international team. If you are reliable, calm under pressure, and enjoy working independently overnight, we would love to hear from you!
Role Summary
----------------
As a Night Porter, you ensure the safety, security, and smooth running of the hostel during night hours. You will be the first point of contact for late arrivals and early departures, handle overnight checks, and support guests with any nighttime needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain a welcoming and secure environment during quieter or challenging hours. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is essential.

Guest Services
Welcome and check in guests arriving late at night.
Assist with early-morning check-outs and provide essential information.
Handle enquiries professionally and support guests with nighttime needs.

Safety & Security
Monitor guest access and ensure only authorised individuals enter the building.
Carry out regular security and fire-safety patrols.
Address disturbances or unsafe behaviour calmly and professionally.
Respond to emergencies following company procedures.

Operational Duties
Ensure communal areas, reception, and entrance spaces remain clean and presentable.
Complete nightly cleaning tasks and basic maintenance checks.
Prepare areas for the morning team (e.g., sorting luggage tags, organising reception space).
Assist housekeeping by preparing information on early check-outs or room changes.

Administration & Reporting
Manage late-night reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the booking system.
Process payments for late check-ins using approved procedures.
Record incidents, maintenance issues, and security concerns in the nightly handover log.
Communicate clearly with the day team during handover.
