SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer-Task Lead to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Essential Job Duties
Serve as Task Lead to ensure effective theater-wide management of this technical area.
Facilitate flow of information from the PM to geographically dispersed task technical implementation personnel and ensure task implementation issues / challenges are communicated to the PM for resolution / awareness.
Manage and mentor subordinates.
Design, develop, and engineer comprehensive solutions to complex theater network challenges / problems.
Review network engineering solutions from subordinates and ensure integration of best practices across theater network solutions.
Drive standardization of theater network solutions for all supported organizations.
Oversee network engineering tasks and responses to ensure integration of best practices.
Manage and mentor subordinate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
An active Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
DOD Cyber Work Force (DCWF) 441 Certs: SecurityX / CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT, or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
Work Environment
Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700
May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.
