Job Description

Under general supervision, is responsible for the operation of a Culligan water delivery vehicle. Delivers bottled water, beverages and water coolers to customers. Completes required forms/documents. Vehicle with a GVW of more than 10,000 - 26,000 pounds. (GVW is to be used as a guideline only. Critical to the grade level determination are the 4 factors: skills & knowledge, responsibility, physical effort and working conditions.)

Job Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9-month for 9-month basis. Experience: Six months of progressively responsible general experience, plus six months specialized experience operating motor vehicles. Must possess a valid operator's license as required by local/state/country laws or military regulations.

Major Duties

Operates a water/beverage delivery vehicle following predetermined routes, schedules and special instructions. Performs preventive maintenance on vehicle and reports malfunctions. Cleans interior and exterior of vehicle. Maintains vehicle log.

Following prescribed procedures, requisitions and receives bottled water, beverages and coolers (maintains inventory as required) for delivery to authorized customers on military installations and housing areas. Maintains change fund, receives acceptable payment from customers and deposits receipts.

Responsible for proper care and handling of merchandise and equipment. Adheres to prescribed safety, security and sanitation procedures.

Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the military star credit card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
