Overview
The Microsoft 365 Teams Specialist is responsible for the operation enhancement and support of the Microsoft Teams platform with a strong focus on voice functionalities integrations and governance This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities within the M365 ecosystem
Key Responsibilities
Operations Support
Operate and provide 2nd3rd level support for Microsoft Teams especially voice features PSTN Direct Routing Operator Connect and call center integrations eg AudioCodes Anywhere365 Genesys Cloud
Troubleshoot and manage escalations for complex Teams and voicerelated incidents
Participate in oncall rotation to ensure operational continuity
Act as the technical point of contact for internal departments external vendors L15 and COE teams
Governance Compliance
Document and maintain operational and support processes in line with governance and audit requirements eg EU and German regulatory ISO
Participate in QA audits and service level reporting within the M365 governance framework
Conduct risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance
Integration Platform Development
Proactively support the ongoing development of the Teams platform and integration of new features
Provide consulting on M365 products and their interaction with Teams eg SharePoint Exchange OneDrive Power Platform
Promote best practices and support digital transformation initiatives
Leadership Strategy
Define and maintain Standard Operating Procedures SOPs to improve operational stability
Provide functional leadership and mentoring to team members within the area of expertise
Serve as a liaison between IT leadership and operational teams to align technology with business goals
Required Skills Qualifications
Technical Skills
Proven handson experience in administering Microsoft Teams including voice functionalities
Experience with PSTN and call center integrations with Microsoft Teams
Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of the M365 service landscape and its interfaces
Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tool usage
Proficient in using tools like Power BI and QoE Quality of Experience reports to monitor system performance generate actionable insights and enhance operational efficiency
Solid understanding of networking protocols including VoIP PSTN and SIP
Experienced in configuring Emergency Calling features such as
Emergency Calling Policies
Normalization Rules
LocationBased Routing LBR
E911 setup
Ensuring compliance and governance in enterprise telephony systems
Skilled in configuration and troubleshooting of
Microsoft Teams Phone System
Teams Room Systems
AudioVideo peripherals and related hardware Good to Have
Soft Skills

Experience with governance and compliance requirements
