Rhubarb are excited to announce the incredible news of our upcoming venture at the stunning waterfront of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier – introducing the spectacular Elemente Restaurant and AirBar 13!
Located within the Westfield development on the riverbanks of the Elbe, Elemente will be the first of its kind - an enchanting South American Restaurant & Bar. Inspired by fire, water, wind, and earth, it's a tribute to nature. Additionally, on the 13th floor of the adjacent building RHC will launch Air Bar 13 with a 360-degree panoramic views of the Elbe, the port, HafenCity, and Hamburg's city centre.
Rhubarb will create a culinary journey through South America, where fresh ingredients and bold flavours harmonise. The interior design embraces nature's aesthetic with abundant plants, creating a captivating dining experience.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking an innovative and commercially focused Marketing Manager to lead all brand launch and ongoing marketing activity for Elemente. Based on site in Hamburg, you will develop and deliver a dynamic marketing strategy that builds awareness, drives bookings and positions Elemente as a must-visit restaurant and bar in Germany.
You will work closely with the Site Director in Hamburg and the Marketing Director in London to ensure alignment with Rhubarb Hospitality Collection’s global brand standards while tailoring activity to the local market.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Opening (Launch Phase)Develop and execute the marketing launch strategy and opening campaign
Build the brand identity across all customer touchpoints in collaboration with the central marketing team
Lead production of photo and video assets for opening campaigns
Build pre-launch momentum through teasers, local PR activation and influencer engagement
Manage website content, SEO and online reservations setup
Establish CRM systems and audience-building activity ahead of launch
Brief and manage external agencies (PR, media, creative, social)
Post-Opening (Growth Phase)Drive guest acquisition and retention through integrated campaigns
Lead social media strategy and content creation for German and international audiences
Deliver email marketing and CRM communications
Develop creative brand partnerships with lifestyle, travel and corporate partners
Manage ongoing local PR visibility and media engagement
Monitor and report on marketing effectiveness using key metrics and analytics
Collaborate with the operations team to support event programming and on-site activations
About You
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a marketing role within hospitality, lifestyle or premium F&B
Experience launching new venues or hospitality openings is highly desirable
Strong understanding of digital marketing, paid media and social media strategy
Experience working with PR agencies and influencer partnerships
Fluent in English; German language skills strongly preferred
Commercially minded with strong brand instincts
Excellent writing and content development skills
Confident multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced pre-opening environment
