You'll make an impact by



You support the development and application of simulation models for thermal systems, such as heat pumps and district heating networks, by working with Python-based tools and libraries Building on this, you assist in analyzing and improving steady-state and dynamic simulations to enable more accurate operation and optimization of energy systems Furthermore, you contribute to the assessment of communication standards and open-source solutions for integrating heat pumps into electric grids for flexibility provision In addition, you help develop standardized models for thermal storage units based on real laboratory plants, supporting their integration into optimal control strategies Finally, you implement and test methods for forecasting thermal loads, leveraging both simple approaches and regression-based techniques

Education

: You are currently enrolled in a degree program in mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, control technology, or energy technology

Experience and Skills

: + Proficient in software development, especially with Python
+ Quick comprehension of new Python libraries and frameworks
+ Solid understanding of energy technologies and thermodynamics and their modeling

Ways of Working

: You work independently, are eager to learn, and have strong analytical thinking skills

Languages

: You have fluent English language skills
