Managing Director Logistics Hub MEA (m/f/d) - Istanbul

We are establishing a new legal entity in Istanbul (Büyükçekmece District) to serve as a logistics hub for the region. In the role as Managing Director Logistics Hub MEA (m/f/d), you will report directly to the Director of Logistics at our headquarters in Hamburg and assume a pivotal responsibility for establishing the organization from its inception, including team recruitment, process design, and operational setup.
Once established, your focus will shift to ensuring efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness across the externally operated hub. You will build strong 3PL partnerships and drive continuous improvement for sustainable growth and operational excellence.

In particular, you will

Lead strategically:

Ensure MEA hub operations align with our supply chain and corporate objectives. Deliver secure and cost-effective solutions.

Own budgets and responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for cost and budget planning, resource responsibility and balancing priorities to achieve company and local goals.

Manage 3PL partnerships:

Build strong relationships, oversee contract fullfilment and performance monitoring.

Drive process excellence:

Continuously improve goods flow and process security across all supply chain activities on site.

Ensure compliance:

Guarantee adherence to legal, occupational safety and EHS standards.

Lead and represent:

Manage and develop the local teams with your leadership group while acting as the primary point of contact for suppliers, 3PL’s, government institutions and internal stakeholders.
What you should bring along

Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent Preferably 15 years of management experience, ideally in international supply chain operations and 3PL environments Proven expertise in strategic planning, change management, and cross-border operations Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and employee engagement Fluent in Turkish and English is required; German skills are a plus Advanced knowledge of SAP, MS Office and ideally warehouse management systems Innovative mindset with a track record in driving transformation and process improvement
