The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Important Note: Selected candidates require favorable completion and receipt of Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) from the German Lander. TESA Approval Organization. Any stated date is an approximate projection based upon the eleven (11) week TESA review cycle.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance operations, solving complex problems by analyzing multiple information sources and applying innovative solutions.
Establish maintenance policies, oversee daily operations, and manage material and human resources in collaboration with functional leads; perform preventive maintenance and repair work on various vehicles.
Overhaul and repair major vehicle assemblies (engines, transmissions, brakes, etc.), replacing worn parts, tuning engines, and performing minor body work.
Adhere to established safety procedures, holding relevant certifications as required by law or policies.
Utilize best practices to enhance products or services, applying expertise in the function and related areas while addressing complex challenges.
Impact customer, operational, and project outcomes positively, working collaboratively within broad guidelines and fostering consensus.
Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience to work independently, mentor colleagues, lead projects with minimal supervision, and perform additional duties as needed and will perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
:
9+ years of qualified experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field (OR) 15+ years of experience.
Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance as well as proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines.
Proven technical experience in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance, or military operations, and effective verbal/written communication skills.
Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair systems.
Expertise in delivering training (formal and on-the-spot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel (domestic and OCONUS) and meet all government deployment requirements.
Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on non-tactical/commercial vehicle fleets and/or military shall be with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems.
Prior training or maintenance experience on M2/M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV)
Prior training on Non – Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV) i.e. Toyota, Polaris.
Prior training on the CROWS Weapon Station.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
