Die International Campaign for Tibet Deutschland lädt junge Tibeter*innen aus Europa ein, sich für das Lodi-Gyari-Fellowship zu bewerben.



Gemeinsam mit der International Campaign for Tibet in den USA bietet ICT Deutschland ein Fellowship im Berliner Büro an. Die International Campaign for Tibet, gegründet 1988, ist eine internationale Nichtregierungsorganisation, die sich für das Selbstbestimmungsrecht und die Rechte des tibetischen Volkes einsetzt. ICT unterhält Büros in Washington D.C., Brüssel, Amsterdam und Berlin.



Das Lodi Gyari Fellowship ist Teil des umfassenden Lodi Gyari Tibetan Empowerment Program der ICT und hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, junge Tibeterinnnen und Tibeter zu fördern, indem es ihnen Möglichkeiten bietet, sich auf allen Ebenen des politischen Prozesses in Deutschland und zusätzlich bei den Vereinten Nationen zu engagieren und Erfahrungen zu sammeln. Es zielt darauf ab, Führungsqualitäten und berufliche Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln, politisches und bürgerschaftliches Engagement zu fördern und die Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln, Tibet auf der internationalen politischen Bühne zu vertreten und eine Stimme zu geben.



Das Stipendium ist zu Ehren des Vermächtnisses des verstorbenen Executive Chairman der International Campaign for Tibet Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari benannt, der auch als Sonderbeauftragter Seiner Heiligkeit des Dalai Lama tätig war.



Lodi Gyari-Fellows absolvieren ein mindestens dreimonatiges Fellowship im Berliner Büro von ICT und erhalten so Einblicke aus erster Hand in Research, Politik und Lobbyarbeit und erweitern ihr Verständnis über den Deutschen Bundestag und die Vereinten Nationen in Genf. Sie arbeiten mit einem Netzwerk von Researchern, politischen Entscheidungsträgern und der weiteren tibetischen Organisationen zusammen.



Teilnahmevoraussetzungen: Wohnsitz in Europa, gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (Deutsch von Vorteil), leidenschaftlich, neugierig und zuverlässig.



Voraussetzungen: Präsenz-Fellowship im Berliner Büro der ICT, 32 Stunden pro Woche, mindestens drei Monate.



Finanzierung: Stipendium von 2.000 € pro Monat.

Lodi Gyari Fellowship of the International Campaign for Tibet Germany

The International Campaign for Tibet Germany invites young Tibetans from across Europe to apply for the Lodi Gyari Fellowship.



In collaboration with the International Campaign for Tibet in the USA, ICT Germany offers a fellowship at its Berlin office. Founded in 1988, the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) is an international non-governmental organization that advocates for the right to self-determination and the rights of the Tibetan people. ICT maintains offices in Washington D.C., Brussels, Amsterdam, and Berlin.



The Lodi Gyari Fellowship is part of ICT’s broader Lodi Gyari Tibetan Empowerment Program and aims to support young Tibetans by providing opportunities to engage in and gain experience with political processes in Germany and at the United Nations. The fellowship seeks to develop leadership and professional skills, promote political and civic engagement, and empower participants to represent and give voice to Tibet on the international political stage.



The fellowship is named in honor of the legacy of the late Executive Chairman of the International Campaign for Tibet, Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari, who also served as Special Envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.



Lodi Gyari Fellows complete a minimum three-month fellowship at ICT’s Berlin office, gaining first-hand insights into research, policy, and advocacy work, and broaden their understanding of the German Bundestag and the United Nations in Geneva. They collaborate with a network of researchers, policymakers, and other Tibetan organizations.

Eligibility Requirements:

Residence in Europe, strong English skills (spoken and written; German is a plus), passionate, curious, and reliable.

Conditions:

In-person fellowship at ICT’s Berlin office, 32 hours per week, minimum duration of three months.

Funding:

Monthly stipend of €2,000.
