We - MT Aerospace - are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the U.S. Space Launch System (SLS) as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecrafts, satellites and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. Especially our business areas of additive manufacturing, CFRP and hydrogen mobility make us a sought-after partner outside the aerospace sector as well. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarter in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks


Technical and disciplinary management of mechanical production Leadership, motivation, further development and targeted personnel development of a team of 25 employees Planning and optimisation of production processes in terms of quality, costs and deadlines Ensuring smooth production processes and adherence to production targets Monitoring and improving machine and plant availability Collaborating on investment decisions and the procurement of new machines Analysing key figures and implementing and further developing lean management and CIP measures Close cooperation with work preparation, NC programming, quality assurance and control

Your Qualifications

Completed training as a cutting machine operator with further training as a technician or master craftsman Several years of proven management experience in mechanical manufacturing Very good knowledge of cutting technologies Experience in handling large components is an advantage NC programming skills desirable Experience in working with modern manufacturing systems and ERP systems Strong leadership and social skills Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work High quality awareness and organisational skills
