As a

Legal Counsel

, you will manage legal matters for BankPro. You will advise the general Counsel and management, reducing legal risks and ensuring the organization operates within legal frameworks. You will also be assisting the CCO & MLRO with various tasks, providing consultation with compliance and legal matters.

Responsibilities

Consulting on corporate legal strategy to protect the company’s interests Strong knowledge of compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Providing legal support to meet company goals and priorities Advising on corporate governance matters, including board operations Drafting minutes and resolutions for shareholders and the board of directors Managing the company’'s corporate files Overseeing the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of all contractual agreements Developing and implementing standardized contracts Assisting in operational duties and generally providing support to our CCO/MLRO Frequently collaborating with the company’'s Compliance, Operations, Finance, and HR teams Working with external legal advisers, notaries, and trademark attorneys when needed Registering and renewing the company’'s intellectual property rights, including trademarks Advising on employment and labor relations issues

Requirements

Law University Degree Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, including corporate law, governance, and regulatory compliance Knowledge in the areas of local compliance and law Experience in banking or fintech industry is preferred Admission to the Bahamas Bar Association Experience in litigation Strong communication skills Ability to work with executive teams and board members Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Fluent in English
