Roles and Responsibilities

Lead/support the electromagnetic design and analysis of electric machines Collaborate with interfacing disciplines of electric machine design and support test as well as data validation Support the electric machine concept and tool development as well as system integration for hybrid-electric applications

Required Qualifications

MS in electrical engineering or related fields with academic knowledge in permanent magnet generators/motors Proven expertise in 2D/3D electromagnetic finite element analysis, preferably ANSYS (Maxwell 2D/Maxwell 3D) as well as in Matlab and/or Python Electric machine and/or system design experience, preferably in hybrid-electric applications, and hands-on validation through prototyping and laboratory testing. Proven ability to think systemically and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Characteristics

Industrial and/or aerospace experience Familiarity with converter duty and high voltage electrical insulation for electrical machine applications Familiarity in inverter/machine interaction as well as system integration & test Experience in managing technology projects
