The role

As a Lead Designer at Galvany, you’ll bring our AI-based Operating System to the next level: creating intuitive, human-centered interfaces with a strong focus on aesthetics. If you like turning messy, multi-stakeholder workflows into one cohesive platform, this is your canvas. You’ll be our first design lead: set the bar for craft, build our design system, and ship end-to-end experiences used by installers, ops teams and homeowners.

Research and UX:

Run interviews, field studies with installers, usability tests, set metrics. You’ll move from messy discovery to shipped products.

Design System:

Build a unified design system that works across web + mobile and grows with us.

Prototype and UI

: You can craft. From flows to interaction models and motion to accessible and performant interfaces. A crisp information hierarchy. Beautiful, opinionated UI.

Leadership:

Mentor one to two designers (to start), and work tight with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations.

What we require

Experience.

6+ years shipping complex digital products (B2B platforms and/or consumer apps). Portfolio shows systems thinking + craft. Evidence of design-system leadership and cross-functional influence with PM/Eng/Data.

Track Record.

Proven end-to-end responsibility in design/UX. From ideation to release.

Background.

Any relevant degree is a plus, but real-world work and portfolio > diploma for this role.

Technical Skills.

Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping. React/Tailwind/Storybook literacy and comfort around Data/IoT is a plus.

Mindset.

Self-driven problem-solving mindset – no need for micromanagement or specific tickets.

Technical Aptitude.

Technical mindset with a passion for understanding systems, data flows, and integrations, coupled with enthusiasm for continuous learning and problem solving.

Language.

Fluent in English and German.
